In 2018, it was revealed that a company called Cambridge Analytical had managed to get around Fakebook's privacy protection systems and collect the private information of 10 millions of face book users. For the first time, many people realized that the information they post online everyday is not all the time truly private and safe. Some social media accounts you see online do not represent actual people. They might have a real sounding name and a photo of a real person as their profile picture. But people make fake accounts to hide their true identities. But moreover this fake account belongs to bots. Therefore we all should be aware of all these challenges.
